To get a government job in the area of Computer Engineering a candidate needs to have a qualified bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) in areas of Computer Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized university or educational institution. For senior positions, a master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required. While, for a faculty position at technical education institutions, Ph.D. in Candidates who studied with subjects like Economics, Statistics, Sociology or Public Administration in or Computer Science or Computer Engineering is a must.

Age Limit for Computer Engineering

To junior level position in the area of Computer Engineering a candidate’s age must fall into the range of 21 years to 30 years while for senior-level positions, the upper age limit could be 45 years or more. The reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ExSM) candidates get relaxation in upper age limit according to the rules laid down by the Government.
